about

This is an album of some of the songs written right around 2019. I was building a collection that I was practicing often - I was even trying to play out a little - until the covid hit. That's when everything changed, essentially our global culture just came to a stop, and my songs felt like they no longer had relevance for me or anyone else. I mean, how could I sing about visiting someone when we aren't allowed to visit people. Besides, I've had no interest in writing music or even practicing with all the horrible news of so many people getting sick and passing away without being able to even have family be near for their sake. And all the news about the trouble with police and protesters. It's just tragic.

I realized that I will be moving on from these songs as they are just one part of my life. New songs may or may not be written in the future.

I had recorded almost nothing of these songs so I spent quarantine recording and mixing these at home. After this, I don't know what I'll do. Maybe watch some TV. But there really isn't anything good on, just things I'll accept as distraction... from what I don't know.

Anyway. Here they are.

lyrics

Lyrics:

You might find me in the morning
when I ain't got much to do
You might find me in the evening
when I'm just a little blue
You might catch me in the garden
more like, I'm just standing in the yard
You might find me when I'm working
but heck ya' know, Don't work too hard
so
You can call on me
Don't need an invitation
or a special situation
Call on me
It ain't a waste of while
if we can share a smile
so call on me
You can call on me
You can call on me
You can call on me
Now maybe we'll go to see a show (snif)
ya' know
if you want to
If you want to
Or maybe we'll retreat
share something sweet
if you want to
If you want to
Now you might find me with a dust pan
of I'm cleaning out the car
You might find I'm just sittin' 'round
strummin' this guitar
You might catch me in the kitchen
sippin' on a cup uh joe
You might find I'm at the Tee-Vee
ain't nothin' on don't you know
so you can
Call on me
Don't need an invitation
or a special situation
Call on me
It ain't a waste of while
if we can share a smile
so call on me
You can call on me
You can call on me
or I could
call on you
