Around 2000-2002. There was a separate garage I converted into a studio. Two acres of land. Neighbors spread far apart. The large room echo was nice. At one point I converted a corner into a drum room with unmudded drywall. There was no AC/Heat. When it was too hot or too cold I took over the third bedroom and used a drum machine.

For much of this time I was still using the ADAT (from that piece of shit company Alesis). There was also a Roland machine with a zip drive...It sounded weird, had a high-pitch whine... and maybe something else. Oh yeah, the Vestax 4-track. A great thing. I think track number three of these songs is my favorite.

Like most places where I recorded, there are songs I was fond of that are lost. And things that are weird that I managed to hold onto. Go figure.
